Streaks ("the app", "we", "us") is built to work entirely on your device. This policy explains what little data exists, where it lives, and what control you have over it.
Streaks does not collect personal information. We do not ask for your name, email, or any account credentials to use the core app. All habit data — names, emojis, categories, completion logs, streaks, and notes — is created by you and stored only on your device.
If you enable iCloud backup in Settings, your habit data is written to your personal iCloud Key-Value Store and Apple's iCloud infrastructure, associated with your Apple ID. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive a copy of this data — it stays within Apple's iCloud service and syncs only between your own devices.
Streaks lets you export your data as a JSON file and share or save it wherever you choose (e.g. Files app, AirDrop, email). This file is created locally and only goes wherever you send it — we never receive it.
Habit reminders and streak alerts are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's UserNotifications framework. No notification content or scheduling data is sent to any server.
Premium Insights is unlocked via a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your payment information — Apple handles billing according to its own privacy policy. Streaks only stores a local flag indicating whether the purchase was made, verified against Apple's transaction records on your device.
Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized analytics (e.g. crash reports, download counts) through App Store Connect. This data cannot be used to identify you individually and is governed by Apple's own privacy practices.
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your data with third parties, because we do not collect or have access to it in the first place.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are always in full control. Deleting a habit or resetting the app removes that data immediately. Uninstalling Streaks removes all locally stored data. If you've enabled iCloud backup, you can disable it and delete the backup from Settings, or manage it directly through your iCloud account settings on iOS.
Streaks does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, because the app does not collect personal information at all.
Because your data never leaves your device (unless you opt into iCloud backup or manual export), it is protected by the same security measures Apple provides for on-device storage and iCloud, including encryption at rest and in transit for iCloud data.
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, note them in the app's release notes.
